Terror & Tears

Chapter 58

When William’s plane landed in Bora Bora, he collected his bag and then headed to his destination. When he arrived at the hotel, he paid the cab driver and then took his bag to the front desk.

“I’m sorry,” William said to the clerk, “I seem to have misplaced the key to my room.”

“Ah” the clerk replied. “Here you are sir.” The clerk said as he handed William the second key.

William went up to the room, placed his bag in the closet and then proceeded to the balcony.

As William watched his brother from the hidden balcony he daydreamed about what was going on back at his old job and his old home.

“One more loose end to tie up and I am free,” he thought.

He was free to roam Europe, Asia or Africa as he wanted and no one would be there to stop him. When he looked again he no longer saw his brother. He turned and walked into the suite and sat in the lounge chair that was purposefully posed in every hotel room.

William waited for the door to open with gleeful anticipation. The door lock clicked to the open position and Andrew sauntered in without seeing his brother. He went directly to the bathroom, started the shower and proceeded to bathe his sun-kissed skin. William waited until Andrew had finished in the shower and then with less than eight steps, William was in the bathroom and injected his brother in the neck with his own special blend of death.

“Surprised?” William asked. As Andrew started to object, he gripped the cheap plastic shower curtain as he slowly crumpled into the bathtub. Andrew opened his mouth trying to speak but by the time his entire body had slumped to the bottom of the tub he was dead. All that came out of Andrew’s mouth was his final breath; death’s rattle.

William left his brother and then the hotel making sure he was not seen by anyone.
